A well-known production company in Marden, Kent decided to implement a wireless solution for their offices and warehouse. This was driven by the need to use bar code readers and scanners, when receiving a delivery.

They would scan the pallet on arrival and when it was placed into storage in the warehouse they would scan it again. This would enable their software to pinpoint how much stock was held at any one time and when the pallet was required, staff in the warehouse could go straight to its location.

This reduced the amount of time spent looking for materials and enabled the company to reduce the stock check time by over 50%

The bar code scanners and readers are linked together to the software sitting on a server via a Ruckus managed wireless network which provides wireless coverage into the offices and throughout the warehouse
